Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has trained ahead of Tuesday's UEFA Champions League clash with Arsenal.[LNB] Ferdinand had to be substituted towards the end of last week's first leg at Old Trafford after suffering damage to his ribs and a bruised lung in a collision with Edwin van der Sar.[LNB]He coughed up blood in the United dressing room and spent the night in hospital, although scans revealed there was no major damage.[LNB]Ferdinand sat out the Premier League victory over Middlesbrough and there had been fears he would miss the match at Emirates Stadium.[LNB]But the presence of the 30-year-old on the Carrington training ground on Monday morning suggests he will face Arsene Wenger's men.[LNB]It will come as a major boost for Sir Alex Ferguson to have the reliable centre-back available as United look to protect a 1-0 lead.[LNB]But Patrice Evra missed training along with Wes Brown and could be doubtful for the trip to London.[LNB]John O'Shea netted the only goal of the game at Old Trafford to give United the edge in their semi-final tie.[LNB]
