Rift with Anderson is 'rubbish' - Fergie

Sir Alex Ferguson has denied reports of a rift with Brazilian midfielder Anderson. It was claimed earlier this week the pair had exchanged angry words after Anderson was left out of the side for the Community Shield defeat to Chelsea earlier this month, and the Brazilian then missed United's victories over Birmingham and Wigan - something Ferguson simply puts down to squad rotation. "There is no issue at all," he said. "Stuff about a dust-up with Anderson is absolute rubbish." He added: "We had (Darren) Fletcher and (Paul) Scholes back for Wigan so it was just a matter of freshening it up. "We are also trying to push Darron Gibson on as much as we can because the boy has improved at a fantastic rate of knots. "There is no reason other than that."
