Real Madrid admit: We wanted United star Tevez in £40m deal
Real Madrid have confirmed their interest in Carlos Tevez.
Sporting director Predrag Mijatovic told Sportsmail on Friday that the Spanish giants first made contact with Kia Joorabchian four months ago, but that Tevez has rejectedthe chance to play in Spain.
Mijatovic, the former Real striker who once described the city as 'theperfect place in which to play football', said last night: 'I firstmade an approach four months ago to express an interest in Carlos.
