Premier League Worse Off Without Blackpool

Sir Alex Ferguson says that Blackpool's relegation to the Championship leaves the Premier League worse off after watching his side beat the Seasiders 4-2. Blackpool’s one season stay in the top flight came to an end on Sunday as Manchester United came out tops in game that went from end to end. Blackpool have played an all out attacking game of football since coming up last season and took many sides by surprise in the first meeting they had with the men in Tangerine shirts, they kept up the same style of football right to the end but Manchester United were just too strong for them, especially on their own patch. Ferguson told Sky Sports: "I think Blackpool have played their part. They play attractive and attacking football. "They are a loss to the Premier League." Sunday also saw United presented with the Premier League trophy. Ferguson added: "This is a wonderful day. It's when your season of hard work comes to fruition. "I think we deserved it, the team have worked so hard as a team. I think that's what clinched it for us. "The team has had a great work ethic, they have worked their socks off."
