GK: Jack Butland (Stoke) - Although Stoke lost at Arsenal, no-one was blaming England Under-21 goalkeeper Butland who produced a string of fine saves to keep the Gunners at bay until they eventually broke through.
LB: Allan Nyom (Watford) - Has impressed for the Hornets this season and was on form again on Saturday as they recorded their first win of the season against in-form Stoke.
CB: Daley Blind (Man Utd) - Has become something of a Mr Reliable for United and added to that further by scoring the opener against Liverpool while playing as a stand-in centre-half. Later made a fine goal-line block as Liverpool tried to mount a comeback.
CB: John Stones (Everton) - As if to rub it in against the club which failed so publicly in its pursuit of him, Stones was one of a number of stand-outs as Everton got the better of Chelsea and Jose Mourinho.
RB: Aleksandar Kolarov (Man City) - Continues to impress for Manchester City this season, playing his part in keeping a fifth clean sheet out of five against Crystal Palace.
LM: Riyad Mahrez (Leicester) - The Algerian has been one of the stars of the Premier League so far and not even the international break could slow him down. Dazzled again as Leicester mounted a comeback from 2-0 down to beat Aston Villa.
CM: Jack Grealish (Aston Villa) - He may have ended up on the losing side, but for large parts of Villa's clash at Leicester Grealish was a stand-out, scoring his first goal for the club and showing why Roy Hodgson is so keen on him.
CM: Steven Naismith (Everton) - Initially named as a substitute for Everton's clash with Chelsea, Naismith made a mockery of his initial benching with a perfect hat-trick after being sent on nine minutes in.
RM: Matt Jarvis (Norwich) - Made the deadline-day move to Carrow Road and immediately made his mark for the Canaries with a stand-out show, crowned by a goal, in a 3-1 win over Bournemouth.
ST: Anthony Martial (Man Utd) - It might only be one half and it might only be one goal, but after dealing with the spotlight brought about by his huge transfer fee and Thierry Henry comparisons so well, Martial deserves his spot.
ST: Jamie Vardy (Leicester) - The England striker's tireless work ethic kept Leicester moving forward, even when they were 2-0 down to Villa. He drove in the equaliser and epitomised the spirit boss Claudio Ranieri was so full of praise for.
