Premier League 2014/15 club preview: Manchester United

So, it is with baited breath that we all wait (or at least the red half of Manchester anyway) for the new season to kick start and the new LVG era to start. So with LVG mooted to be set to ask RVP to captain the side how with WMR feel about that, although it appears that he has been given the chance to show his worth in their opening Premier League fixture against Swansea.

LVG, fresh off a fairly decent World Cup has the Man U through and through RJG as his assistant….ok so I am getting bored of these now…I blame AVB!

Seriously though, they have already signed Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw for hefty amounts, where else can they strengthen. I don’t think you need to look any closer than at the back!

Linked With:

Thomas Vermaelen, Arturo Vidal, Mats Hummels, Kevin Strootman, Angel Di Maria

So Who?

To be fair, even at their ripe old ages, to lose Ferdinand and Vidic in the same window would be a hammer blow to any team, which leads me to believe that LVG has plans beyond this season of winning the League. Vermaelen is a funny one, as to why he wants to leave Arsenal and would Arsenal really let him go to one of their title contenders? Hummels seems to be staying put and with crocked Dutch midfielder Strootman's price tage now believed to be somewhere in line with that of a space shuttle…..could Man Utd end Di Maria’s Madrid hell….if hell is hot weather, a Real shirt, a nice paycheck and sporadic football based on my own desire to play…then pass me my horns!

If Evans, Smalling and Jones can step up to the plate and improve without the shadows of Rio and Nemanja being cast over them, then maybe a jinking Argentine in midfield would spice things up.
