Pools land Red Devils stopper

Hartlepool have signed young Manchester United goalkeeper Conor Devlin on a month-long loan deal.[LNB] The 19-year-old Northern Ireland youth international, who played for United reserves against Blackburn on Monday, is highly-rated at Old Trafford.[LNB]Devlin caught the eye last season when he helped the Red Devils Academy side to the league title and is now eyeing further progression at United after the departures of fellow keepers Ben Foster, Tom Heaton and Ron-Robert Zieler.[LNB]Pools caretaker boss Mick Wadsworth has looked to strengthen his goalkeeping options after injuries to Scott Flinders and Andy Rafferty last month and has already brought in Jake Kean from Blackburn.[LNB]Devlin looks set to be on the bench for Tuesday's League One match at home to Carlisle.
