Is this the kit Manchester United will be wearing next season? Pictures have been leaked on the internet showing a jersey which purports to be the Barclays Premier League champions' change strip for next season. The commemorative kit would honour of Billy Meredith, the player who helped them to their first major trophy, the 1909 FA Cup. A century on, Nike have apparently manufactured a similar white cotton shirt with drawstrings around the neck and a V-shape red sash down the front. Another user of the footballshirtculture.com website posted a red version that could be used as a home strip. The website had previously reported that Nike had been asked to rework Meredith's white strip in a red version. A club insider is reported as having said: 'The club felt bringing back this old kit was the perfect way for United to mark 100 years of success.'
