Phelan On Injuries

24 January 2012 23:39
Manchester United assistant manager Mike Phelan says that the club could face an injuries problem as the wounded list mounts up. But he still expects United to perform as best they can even though there were a catalogue of injuries after the game against Arsenal at the weekend.

Phil Jones tore ankle ligaments, Nani left the stadium in a protective boot, and Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick and Patrice Evra all picked up knocks.

Phelan said: "We're not in the greatest state that we could possibly be in.

"However, we can call on all our experiences and resources we have at this football club and we'll have to do that in the coming weeks."
