The Manchester United goalkeeper has been in great form this season for Louis Van Gaal’s team and he was awarded the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award in December following a string of impressive performances as he kept two clean sheets.
The first came as Manchester United beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at Old Trafford and then De Gea put in a man of the match performance to help the Red Devils overcome Arsenal 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium, making a string of fine saves to keep Arsenal at bay. De Gea then helped Manchester United beat Hull 3-0. In total De Gea has kept 10 clean sheets so far this season in the Premier League as Man United look on course to finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League.
De Gea’s impressive form for Manchester United also saw him included in the PFA Premier League team of the year.
