[LNB]Paul Gascoigne has heaped praise on Sir Alex Ferguson - and says Manchester United's kids are the only team he'd pay to watch.[LNB]The former Tottenham and Rangers star is largely disillusioned with football in this country, believing that young players 'have it too easy' and that the Premier League has 'too many foreigners'.[LNB] Legend: Sir Alex Ferguson has managed Manchester United since 1986[LNB]But he reserves special praise for the work done by Fergie, a man who tried to sign the then 21-year-old Geordie when he left Newcastle for Tottenham in the summer of 1988 - a full two years before anyone had ever heard of 'Gazza'.[LNB]He said: 'I've not watched a lot of football lately but these young kids are at Man United are the ones I'd pay to watch.[LNB]'I'm not a great fan now I'm not playing. I just can't believe how bad the standard is sometimes and how much they get paid.[LNB]'Howcan someone be happy sitting on the bench every week, even if they are getting paid 60 grand? I'm not bitter, I don't care how much they earn, as long as they try their best in training and work their nuts off.[LNB] All smiles: Gascoigne playing for Spurs in 1990 (left) and Manchester United youngsters Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverly this season (right)[LNB]'I'm not a great fan now I'm not playing. I just can't believe how bad the standard is sometimes and how much they get paid.[LNB]'Young players don't have to clean boots, or scrub toilets or anything, and football has suffered because of it. But the way those kids at United play is great.'[LNB]It's often been said Gazza's career could have been very different had he chosen Old Trafford over the bright lights of London when he left St James' Park, and he clearly has huge admiration for Ferguson.[LNB]He added: 'It [the Premier League] is a foreign league. Look at the teamsheets. But I'm so proud of Sir Alex Ferguson because he has the balls to get young English players and put them out, and they're destroying teams, these young lads.'[LNB] Nani believes incredible home form can help United to beat rivals CityIt's Danny Welbucks!
