Owen Injury Not Very Serious

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has put an end to rumours that Michael Owen will be out of action for a while after picking up a groin injury in training this week. There have been reports that the 31 year old would be out for the rest of the season, but the boss maintains that the problem is not serious. The player won’t be playing against Crawley Town this weekend but has every chance of being available to United when they take on Marseille in the Champions League this week. Fergie said: "Michael suffered a small injury during the week which will force him out tomorrow. "It is disappointing because I was going to play him but there is no point taking a risk and he could be available for the Marseille game on Wednesday."
