Owen Expects To Play More

Michael Owen bagged two goals in the Carling Cup last night at Scunthorpe and then proclaimed that he expects to get more chances to show what he can do in the Premier League this season. Owen grabbed two of the five goals that United got against Scunthorpe after only playing 46 minutes of football since appearing in the Charity Shield in August. It has been reported lately that Owen’s time may soon be over at Old Trafford as he is not happy about the lack of time he gets on the pitch. But that is something that Owen expects to change very soon. He said: "There’s been a lot of us that haven't played in the first month of the season but now the Champions League's started, the League Cup's started and there's Premier League games all the time so I'd like to think there's going to be plenty of games coming thick and fast. “People make a lot of different situations but there's a lot of us in the same boat that haven't had many minutes."
