Owen Expecting England Blank

Not being able to hold down a regular place in the Manchester United side has got striker Michael Owen thinking that he won't make the England squad. The England boss Fabio Capello has said that he is looking for players that are regulars in their club sides, but Owen has only started five league games since his move from Newcastle in March 2008. It’s true that the striker has scored 40 times in89 appearances for the international side, but Owen knows that now means little. "It's been a long time since I was in the England squad," Owen told BBC Radio 5 live. "You never give up but it's probably a long shot in racing terms."
