O'Shea - It's not over yet
John O'Shea feels Manchester United will be capable of scoring an away goal following a 1-0 home win over Arsenal in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final.[LNB] Irish defender O'Shea scored the only goal of the game at Old Trafford inside the opening 20 minutes to put United in a strong position to reach back-to-back finals.[LNB]The holders dominated the first half as Arsenal were indebted to goalkeeper Manuel Almunia for ensuring his team still have a chance of overturning the tie.[LNB]O'Shea accepts the contest is not over yet, but feels United can boost their prospects of a successful defence of the Champions League by scoring at Emirates Stadium.[LNB]"Possibly, with the chances we had," O'Shea told Sky Sports when asked if United's lead should be greater.[LNB]"To be fair, their keeper has made a couple of great saves, but on our first-half display we could have been a couple more goals up.[LNB]"But, we have a lead, we kept a clean sheet and we know we're capable of scoring an away goal at the Emirates, but it's definitely not over."[LNB]HappyUnited were in the ascendancy for large periods of the game and O'Shea outlined the gameplan Sir Alex Ferguson had set out.[LNB]He added: "To squeeze high up the pitch as much as we could and just to keep the pressure on Arsenal, and then, hopefully, we'd win the ball back and play from there.[LNB]"I think it worked very well, especially in the first half and sometimes in the second half.[LNB]"Arsenal are a good team and kept the ball well at times and it's hard to get it back from there, so in the second leg we need to improve maybe on retaining possession.[LNB]"Overall, we have to be happy." [LNB]
