Not Schweinsteiger: Manchester United agree deal to sign Bundesliga star for bargain price

The Red Devils are set to agree an 18million Euro deal to bring Bundesliga star Roberto Firmino, currently playing at Hoffenheim, to Old Trafford, according to reports today.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder has long been linked with a move to Manchester United and it now looks as if Louis van Gaal's side are set to beat bitter rivals Liverpool, who have also been tracking Firmino, to the player's signature.

United's Germany scout Peter Braund was previously pictured at a Hoffenheim match, in a box owned by Rogon, the company who represent Roberto Firmino. More interestingly Braund was in the company of licensed Rogon agent Paul Koutsoliakos.

And now, ESPN Brazil journalist Jose Elias has reported that Firmino has agreed a deal that will see him move to Old Trafford this summer for around £13million.

Firmino would be United's second summer signing, joining Memphis Depay at United as Louis van Gaal looks to build a title winning side.
