No fear factor for Veh

Armin Veh insists Wolfsburg have nothing to fear as they head to Old Trafford for their Champions League clash with Manchester United on Wednesday. This will only be Wolfsburg's second game in the competition while United are Champions League veterans and former winners. But the VW-backed outfit stunned German football last season by holding off the likes of Bayern Munich and Stuttgart to clinch the Bundesliga title. They have also made a positive start to their Champions League debut by winning 3-1 at home to CSKA Moscow in their Group B opener, so coach Veh has urged his players to go out and play their own game. Special "Old Trafford is a special ground and Manchester United is a very special club," he said. "They have played over 150 games in this competition and we have only had a couple. "But we will not hide and I won't be losing any sleep thinking about it. "It is impossible to say for certain whether the players will be inspired or afraid. "But I do know we cannot afford to wait until Manchester United have scored four or five goals before we start to impose our own style on the match." While Old Trafford has a capacity of around 76,000, Veh feels his side is used to more imposing arenas, such as Borussia Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park, which holds up to 80,000. Legend "When people talk about atmospheres, the best ones are in Germany," he said. "We experience those crowds every week, so in describing the atmosphere at Old Trafford, it is more to do with the legend of United rather than the stadium itself. "They are top of the table and they have won their last seven games," Veh added. "It doesn't look like a lot has changed to me (since losing Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez). "They still have the same quality of player, that is for certain."
