Yohan Cabaye has dismissed suggestions he could be the subject of a January bid from Manchester United.

The Frenchman has been a revelation in Newcastle's midfield since joining from Lille for ?4.4million in the summer, his two goals and three assists helping Alan Pardew's men to a so-far unbeaten start to the season.

The Magpies currently lie in third in the Barclays Premier League and Cabaye has attracted rave reviews.

But Cabaye, who has won eight caps for France, says he is not interested in contemplating a move elsewhere after only signing a five-year contract with Newcastle in the summer.

'I heard about United's interest in me, but things are only just beginning,' he said.
