Neville - Win or bust

Gary Neville admits Manchester United are in danger of allowing their title dreams to slip through their grasp. The Red Devils, who appeared to be cantering towards a third consecutive crown a few weeks ago, have seen their lead at the top cut to a solitary point. Back-to-back defeats against Liverpool and Fulham have allowed Rafa Benitez's Reds to edge their way back into contention. United do still have a game in hand on their North West rivals, but have suffered a wobble at the worst possible time. Looking to get their campaign back on track, they now face a crunch clash with Aston Villa on Sunday, with Neville warning that it is imperative three points are taken from the Old Trafford encounter. "We need to bounce back and recover - but we said that after the Liverpool game and we didn't do that at Fulham," the United skipper told MUTV. "Now there are no more chances for us. We need to make sure we start winning games and get on a winning run. "We have got a vital game coming up against Aston Villa on Sunday and I don't think anyone will underestimate the importance of it. "We need to get back to winning ways after losing two league games, which is not something we are used to. "Now we have had a break we need to focus and get ourselves back on track." Neville is hoping to play his part over the coming weeks after recovering from a niggling groin problem. He made his comeback for United's reserves in a 3-3 draw with Newcastle on Monday and has now set his sights on a first-team return. "I have got the opportunity to be fit now and, hopefully, be available for Sunday, Tuesday (against Porto in the UEFA Champions League) and the games coming up in the next couple of months. "Sunday will be a hugely-important game and we will need the crowd behind us. We certainly know what we need to do. "I feel okay. It was the first time I had played in six or seven weeks (against the Magpies) so I felt a little bit rusty. "But I am hoping to get back into the squad and get back with the lads as soon as possible."
