Neville seeks Toffees success

Phil Neville is not used to losing major finals, as the Everton captain's 13-medal haul from his Manchester United days testifies. So after tasting the bitterness of defeat at Wembley in the FA Cup final last season - Everton's first crack at a major honour in 14 years - the versatile defender is determined to make amends in the new campaign. Runners-up in the cup and fifth in the Barclays Premier League is not good enough for Neville, brought up on success at Old Trafford. He said: "We showed over the past six or seven months of last season that we are on the cusp of something big and we know the squad is in great shape. We only need the right couple of additions and we will be breathing down the top four's necks. "We are getting closer and closer, we had some fantastic results last season. "The pain of losing at Wembley is not something I ever want to experience again. We have reflected on things and I know from having looked around the dressing room at Wembley that the lads have got the hunger to go again. That has to be the case."
