My heart says it's impossible to leave Manchester United, pleads Carlos Tevez

Carlos Tevez says he would be heartbroken if he had to leave Manchester United at the end of the season. The Argentina striker has yet to agree a deal that would keep him at Old Trafford beyond a loan deal that expires in June. Despite lingering reports that he will join Real Madrid in the summer, Tevez insists he intends to go nowhere. Come to Carlos: Tevez is desperate to conclude a permanent transfer to Manchester United 'I cannot think of any team except United,' the 25-year-old told Sport magazine. 'The United fans love me and my family is very happy both in Manchester and in England. 'I hope I will still be here next season. I do not want to play with any other team. I always follow heart and my heart is telling me it will be impossible for me to leave English football.' United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has also indicated he wants to keep Tevez, but United have failed to meet a fee written into his contract, thought to be about £32million and missed the January 31 deadline to have exclusive negotiating rights with him. Tevez says his English has improved vastly since he first arrived in the country to play for West Ham two and a half years ago and he admits poking fun at his international team-mates, Newcastle duo Jonas Gutierrez and Fabricio Coloccini, for their struggle to learn the lingo. 'Compared with them, I am fluent!' said Tevez. He insists Manchester feels like home and that he is surrounded by fans who love him to the extent of singing 'Argentina, Argentina' from the Stretford End. Despite Cristiano Ronaldo's stuttering form this season, Tevez believes only his compatriot Lionel Messi can rival the Portugal star for the tag of best player in the world. 'They are the only men in football who can win a game on their own,' said the former Boca Juniors and Corinthians stars. 'Sometimes (Ronaldo's) performances are from a different planet. The only player who I think is on the same level as him today is Lionel Messi. I think they could play very well together. They are complete because they are both superb dribblers who also have a very good eye for goal.' As for the best defender he has come up against in English football, forget the likes of John Terry, Sami Hyypia or William Gallas. 'There are many superb defenders,' he said, 'but Micah Richards at Manchester City has given me the hardest match in England. He is big, fast, strong and very hard to beat.'
