Jose Mourinho has laid the first psychological trap ahead of Inter Milan's visit to Manchester United when he left influential midfielder Esteban Cambiasso out of his team's final training session before the Italian champions left for England.

With defender Christian Chivu already out of the game at Old Trafford tomorrow and Marco Materazzi and Nicolas Burdisso also carrying injuries, alarm spread through the Inter camp when holding midfielder Cambiasso failed to show for training.

But sources in Milan suggested that the Argentinian had merely been held back by Mourinho in a bid to confuse United manager Sir Alex Ferguson ahead of tomorrow's knock-out tie that is locked at 0-0 after the first leg.

Mourinho danced down the touchline that night in celebration, something that his friend and rival Ferguson has never forgotten.Nevertheless, there is little chance of Ferguson performing a similarroutine if United gain revenge.

United midfielder Paul Scholes said: 'At his age? He'd probablycollapse. 'It would be nice to see, but I don't think our manager goesin for that type of thing. He will probably stand up, have a littleclap and be pleased we have gone through.'
