Messi Bigs Up Barca
Lionel Messi has fired a warning to Manchester United ahead of Saturday's Champions League final by saying that the current Barca side is the best he has ever played in. But United didn’t need telling, there is little all else in the papers, it’s all Barca this and Barca that and unless you suffer from short term memory loss, you don’t need telling that Barca beat United in 2009 so we know all about them. Messi makes his statement just at the time when the whole world is raving about them and we do know that Messi is a goal machine at the moment. The Argentinean bragged: "This is definitely the best Barcelona team I have ever played in, that's for sure. "A lot of the players in the team are the same as a couple of years ago, but we are all older and more experienced. "We have the best coach because Guardiola is just as loyal to Barcelona as the players from the academy. He always does what's best for Barcelona and not for himself. He is a symbol of the way Barcelona wants to play and behave. "You have to remember that our success is carefully built up through many years. This is the result of years of hard work with the academy players and also getting the right players in the squad.
