Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand trying new treatment to conquer mystery injury

With Sir Alex Ferguson revealing last week that the 31-year-old is showing no signs of recovering, United's medical staff are understood to have sent Ferdinand to specialist amid fears a recent calf injury is linked to the problems with his back. [LNB]According to the Guardian, the latest trial of treatment carries no guarantee and it could still be a number of weeks before he is able to return to normal training sessions. However, the club's main concern is the fact that no one appears to be able to diagnose exactly what the problem is.
