Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand ruled out until January

The centre-back has been plagued by the injury since the start of this year and the problem is believed to have been the cause of a calf injury picked up earlier this season. [LNB]According to the Sun, Ferdinand, who had previously said he expected to be back in action by December, will undergo tests on his hips with Old Trafford medical staff believing they may need to be realigned and could be the root cause of his back problem.
