Manchester United's predicted Starting XI, Match prediction Vs. Burnley

29 August 2014 09:46

Tuesday was an evening full of mixed emotions for Manchester United and its fans all over the world. United announced the signing of the much talked about boy Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid breaking a British transfer record. Hours later, Louis Van Gaal’s side faced a 4-0 loss to league 1 side MK Dons. It was not a loss but humiliation.

This loss would have made Louis Van Gaal and the entire coaching staff think whether the inclusion of the Argentine would make thinks work at Old Trafford. Louis Van Gaal is still in search of his first competitive victory with Manchester United.

A horrible night against MK Dons in Capital One cup has put more pressure on this United side as they face Burnley FC at Turf Moor this Saturday afternoon. It will be interesting to see how Louis Van Gaal will line up this squad if the new signings Di Maria and Marcos Rojo both are included in it. The other interesting point will be to see whether he uses both Rooney and Van Persie as strikers or benches one out of them.

The real problem for Van Gaal will be of having no choice in the midfield which can see Fletcher and Cleverly given the roles of Central midfielders. Adnan Januzaj can be called up from substitute’s bench to play in midfield if things get worse for both Cleverly or Fletcher.

If Van Gaal still chooses to play with his 3-4-1-2 system, Here’s my predicted XI that could feature against Burnley FC at Turf Moor :-

De Gea, Jones, Evans, Rojo, Valencia, Fletcher, Cleverly, Di Maria, Juan Mata, Van Persie, Rooney.

Prediction :- Burnley have shown strength in the match against Chelsea and Louis Van Gaal’s men will not be taking this promoted side lightly while going through the worst of their forms. The confidence of Burnley will also be touching sky heights as they will play in front of their home crowd. Burnley can give United another Nightmare but I see Manchester united getting goals with the inclusion of Angel Di Maria’s pace and key assists.

Predicted Final Score: - Burnley 1 -3 Manchester United
