Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is considering making a move for Sporting Lisbon striker Wilson Eduardo and adding him to his squad of promising youngsters at Old Trafford.
Eduardo has been loaned out to Beira Mar Aveiro and has already scored for the club who have just been promoted to the top division in Portugal.
Ferguson has often looked to Sporting to sign players having taken Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani from there to United.
Eduardo, represented Portugal at every level up to under-19, is another who has come through the ranks at Sporting.
A move for the 20-year-old would continue Ferguson's policy of signing young players following the purchases of Javier Hernandez, Chris Smalling and Bebe.
