15 August 2014 09:50

The stage is all set for the premier league Opener. Manchester United will host the Welsh side Swansea at Old Trafford and kick off the most competitive football league. Manchester united will be in high spirits after beating Valencia on Tuesday at the same turf. United boss Louis Van Gaal has stated the performance against Valencia as the worst of the entire pre-season fixture but the irony is that United have won all the matches under the Dutchman till now.

Premier league competition is much different from the pre-season tours but it is always good to have wins under your belt. United have finished their pre-season on a high by defeating Valencia 2-1 thanks to the 90th minute winner by Fellaini which makes them the side , yet to be beaten under Louis Van Gaal. Swansea on the other hand has not had as excellent season as United had winning only 3 games out of their possible 5. The confidence will be much low after they were beaten 3-0 by Villarreal less than a week ago.

Manchester United and Swansea have faced the first game of last season (2013/14) too which united won comfortably by 4-1.
