Manchester United to Swap Striker For La Liga Star?

Manchester United are plotting a transfer for Valencia midfielder Ever Banega after the Argentinian asked to leave the La Liga team, according to reports.

Red Devils boss David Moyes is a supporter of the 25-year old Argentina international and the Sunday People report that there has been contact between him and Valencia, as he is keen on joining United.

However, to complete the transfer of Benga – rated at £12.5 million – Moyes might have to agree to sell United’s “super-sub”, Javier Hernandez.

The Premier League champions weren’t looking to completing any purchase this transfer window but with Banega demanding an immediate move, United have to move quickly to seal the deal.

Hernandez might be the ultimate key to either make or break the deal. Valencia boss Juan Antonio Pizzi is keen on obtaining the Mexican striker after missing out on Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko.

Despite the Mexican not earning many starting opportunities this season, he is one of the players that United should not look to lose especially with first-choice strikers Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie out on injury.

If a deal doesn’t go through this winter, then Moyes will have to try again during the summer but will face tough competition from top teams AC Milan, Fiorentina, Roma as well as Premier League sides Arsenal and Tottenham.
