Manchester United target Griezmann happy in Madrid but 'will see' on future

Antoine Griezmann is enjoying life at Atletico Madrid but will "see what the future brings" as speculation over a move to Manchester United continues.

The 25-year-old is said to be Jose Mourinho's main priority this summer as United look to bolster a squad that has undergone significant change since the Portuguese's arrival.

Earlier in the month United denied reports that a deal had been reached in principle with Griezmann, whose buyout clause increased to 100 million euros (£85million) when extending his deal with Atletico until 2021.

The France international insists he is happy in Madrid - and even spoke of his excitement about Atletico's new stadium - but did not close the door on a summer departure.

"I feel great at the club and in Madrid," Griezmann told FIFA.com.

"On a personal level I'm very happy, and in football terms we're about to move to a new stadium, which is very important.

"We'll just have to see what the future brings, but for now I'm very happy here and I hope to win trophies with this club."

Diego Simeone's fine work means the Atletico coach is also regularly subject of speculation and Griezmann, last month named the third best player in the world, is full of praise and admiration for the former Argentina midfielder.

"He's changed me," the attacker said. "He's brought so many things to my game that it's hard to even begin to say what they are.

"Let's just say that I wouldn't have been regarded as one of the best players in the world if it weren't for him.

"More than anything he's helped me to be more effective in front of goal, to take every chance that comes my way, and, of course, to run and run and work hard for the team. You can't make it at Atletico if you don't do that."
