Manchester United star Javier Hernandez could be playing football until end of June

Share[LNB]Javier Hernandez could still be playing competitive football as late as June 25 if Mexico reach the final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup in Pasadena, California.[LNB]The Manchester United striker has already made 44 appearances for his club and played seven international games in a season that began on August 8.[LNB] What a season: Javier Hernandez has delighted Manchester United's supporters across the world[LNB]But Hernandez, 23 next week, could yet contest a further seven matches - the Champions League final against Barcelona on Saturday and then six more games if highly-favoured Mexico reach the Gold Cup final.[LNB]Will he be smiling this summer? Javier Hernandez[LNB]As Arsene Wenger stressed last month in relation to Jack Wilshere's availability for England Under 21's campaign at this summer's European Championships, FIFA rules stipulate international players must have at least four weeks' rest each year.[LNB]The Arsenal boss said: 'It is a bit of a grey area but the rules from FIFA are that you have to give four weeks holiday to a player, it is compulsory.'[LNB]This could rule Hernandez out of United's pre-season tour to the USA.
