[LNB]It is likely that the main works would be carried out on the South Stand which is still only one tier in height. The remaining seats are likely to come from filling the South and East quadrants to restore the spherical nature of the stadium and estimated costs for the works are likely to come close to £100 million. [LNB]Old Trafford's most recent expansion was in 2005/06 when 8,000 seats were added to the second tiers of the north-west and north-east quadrants. The increase saw United set a new Premier League record attendance of 76,098 for an all-seater stadium. [LNB]Should these latest plans go through, Old Trafford would dwarf United's three closest rivals in the league in terms of stadium size. Anfield has the capacity for 45,362, Stamford Bridge seats 42,055 and the Emirates holds 60,355. [LNB]Meanwhile, United have been named favourites to sign Paris St Germain defender Mamadou Sahko for £12 million. [LNB]The Paris-born 17-year-old, PSG's youngest eve captain, is also said to be on Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal's transfer radars. [LNB]
