Manchester United revive pursuit of Lyon's Karim Benzema

Ferguson tried in vain to sign the Frenchman last summer when Lyon slapped a price tag of £40 million on him so instead opted for Tottenham's Dimitar Berbatov. [LNB]But as Lyon struggle to secure a Champions League spot for next season and Benzema saying he only wants to play for Europe's elite, the club may be forced to sell for half the aforementioned amount. [LNB]Despite scoring some crucial goals for United this season, Ferguson has left Tevez out of their last four Champions League matches as well as high profile league ties.
