Manchester United Lose Interest in Fabregas

It seems as though Manchester United’s interest in Cesc Fabregas has waned, which is good news for Arsenal who have first option to buy him and would hate to see him go to their rivals.

The Gunnners have been trying to lure back their former captain for the last couple of seasons now and it looks as though Barcelona are ready to let him go.

Further fuel has been added to the rumour fire after the 27 year old was spotted in London having dinner with his girlfriend.

It is thought that Louis van Gaal, the incoming Man Utd coach, is not interested in Fabregas and would actually prefer Bayern Munich’s Bastian Schweinsteiger, whom he had worked with in his time at the Allianz Arena. The German midfielder could be available for £10m.

Apparently however, Fabregas is not Arsenal’s main priority this summer. Apparently Wenger’s main concerns are a striker and a midfield anchorman. Also he may need to buy a new right back with the future of Bacary Sagna unsure.

Arsenal have first option to buy Fabregas at around £25m should other clubs make a bid.

With Barcelona spending huge amounts of money on bringing in Neymar and renewing Messi’s contract, they need to recoup this money if they want to make big money signings.
