Manchester United look to break British transfer record again with signing of Juve star

Manchester United have set aside the huge sum of £60million as they look to bring home their former academy prospect Paul Pogba.

The French international has blossomed at Italian side Juventus and has been integral in helping his team reach the Champions League final for the first time since 2003. But this form and ability that has been so beneficial to Juve has caught the eye of Europe's elite, with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United all ready to drop huge amounts of money to sign the 22-year-old.

The Red Devils are ready and willing to meet Juve's valuation for Pogba and are determined to right past wrongs by resigning the player they let leave for free.

And although Pogba is happy at Juventus and happy he left Manchester United, he holds no grudges against the team he claims failed to give him the chance he deserved, focusing instead on the matter at hand, the Champions League final against Barcelona.

“Let people think what they want to think,” Pogba said, when asked whether the Champions League final would be his last game for Juventus. “This is a final, it is a huge final for me, and I am just focused on that.”

The signing of Paul Pogba would be one of many big money transfers to United this summer, as Louis van Gaal continues to overhaul his squad.
