Manchester United land Borussia Dortmund star Robert Lewandowski

The Daily Mail are reporting that Borussia Dortmund’s star striker Robert Lewandowski is heading to Manchester United.

It is believed that the 24-year-old has indicated to family and friends that he is ready to move away from the German club at the end of this season.

There was much specualation during the summer that Lewandowski would make a switch to Old Trafford but a move never materialised. But it is now thought that Dortmund have finally accepted they are going to lose their prolific forward.

United have the upper hand in any negotiations, with Lewandowski’s current deal running out at the end of next season and the Manchester club believe they can bring in the striker for around £12 million. A similar fee to that of Shinji Kagawa, another Dortmund player United prised from the Germans during the summer.

Sir Alex Ferguson would pair the Polish international with Robin van Persie and use Wayne Rooney just behind. Arguably giving Manchester United the most lethal attacking trio in the Premier League.
