Home comforts: Lindegaard is up for the cup[LNB]Anders Lindegaard is refusing to consider going down in history for all the wrong reasons as he prepares to make his home debut for Manchester United. [LNB]Goalkeeper Lindegaard's only appearance for the Red Devils was last month's FA Cup tie at Southampton and their reward for winning is an Old Trafford clash with Crawley Town.[LNB] An away win on Saturday would rank as the biggest-ever upset in the competition but Lindegaard, who arrived in January from Aalesund, insists there is no chance. [LNB]He told United Review: 'It's not an option we think about. Before playing a match you don't wonder what will happen if you lose. You just think positively and it's the same on Saturday. Defeat is not an option.'[LNB] United's veteran No 1 Edwin van der Sar is hanging up his gloves at the end of the season and a string of keepers have been linked with a move to Old Trafford. [LNB]Schalke's Manuel Neuer, David De Gea from Atletico Madrid and Scotland internationals Craig Gordon (Sunderland) and Allan McGregor (Rangers) have been touted as possible replacements for the Dutchman.[LNB] But Lindegaard added: 'Rumours have been normal to me since last summer, since the first time someone wrote about me coming to Manchester United.[LNB] 'You can't do anything about it, so it won't help me to let them sap energy from me. [LNB]'During the first couple of months of speculation about United and other clubs, I'd go to training in the morning, go home, lie on my couch and stare at the ceiling running through what would happen. It became normal and now rumours don't affect me at all. [LNB]'It's the best and biggest job for a goalkeeper in the world. It's the job everybody wants: being No 1 for Manchester United. Small kids want it, the biggest goalkeepers in the world want it. And I want it.'
