Manchester United head to United States

Manchester United have left for their tour of the United States as Sir Alex Ferguson looks to build a new-look side following his summer spending spree.[LNB]United will play five games in July, starting with a fixture against New England Revolution on Wednesday. Ryan Giggs appeared relaxed as he prepared to board the plane[LNB] Tour party: The Manchester United squad show off the Premier League trophy[LNB]The party posed on the steps of their plane and judging by the size of their hand luggage, this was no easyJet flight.[LNB]The ever-green Ryan Giggs seemed relaxed at the airport after a troubled summer of tabloid revelations. [LNB]He posed for pictures with fans and appeared to share a joke with airport staff.[LNB]It is unclear if the Welshman's good mood was directly related to the recent closure of the News of the World.[LNB]Wayne Rooney meanwhile looks to be recovering well from his hair transplant as he showed off his new barnet. [LNB]His teammates Ashley Young and Rio Ferdinand appear to me lending him morale support by sporting matching skinheads.[LNB]Strikers Dimitar Berbatov, who looks set to remain at the club despite being dropped for the Champions League final, and Michael Owen, who signed a new one-year deal, will be hoping to prove their worth in pre-season.[LNB]Manager Ferguson also appeared to be in a jovial mood; but that will surely change as soon as his side is the victim of a dodgy refereeing decision.
