Manchester United goalkeepers Ben Foster and Tomasz Kuszczak fight for No 2 spot

But Edwin is 39, so there will be an opportunity one day.[LNB]'Ben and Tomasz Kuczszak will fight it out (for the goalkeeping position.) I am sure of that.'[LNB]Van der Sar, who has been offered the opportunity to make an international return with Holland at the World Cup, has spoken of the possibility of retirement at the end of this season.[LNB]With his contract due to expire next summer, no talks have yet taken place over a new deal with the former Ajax, Juventus and Fulham number one.[LNB]But Ferguson admits he expects Van der Sar to give him an indication as to his plans in the coming month.[LNB]Ferguson said: 'I have had no indication on that yet. Edwin has not decided.[LNB]'Usually, around Christmas time, he will outline his plans on how long he can go on and we will wait for that.[LNB]'I don't know his plans and, when you get to that age and you have a young family, you wonder whether he does have plans to go to Holland.[LNB]'He is a very intelligent man and understands his body better than anyone and will make the right judgement.'[LNB]United defender Nemanja Vidic, whose future has been the subject of speculation for almost 12 months, has insisted that he is happy to stay at Old Trafford, despite interest in his services from leading clubs in Spain and Italy.[LNB]Vidic, whose contract expires in 2012, told United fanzine Red News: 'To be honest you never know what is going to happen.[LNB]'I can't say what is going to happen in one year, two years time. At the moment I'm happy and I'm here.[LNB]'What is going to happen in the future, that no one knows, but I definitely have two and a half years contract here and I will stay here.'[LNB]
