Anders Lindegaard will not make his much-anticipated first start in a Manchester United shirt in the reserves against Bolton this evening, as previously expected.[LNB]Sportsmail understands the Denmark goalkeeper, capped four times by his country, who arrived at Old Trafford last month from Danish outfit Aalesunds FK, is now likely to feature for United's second string against Bury on Monday.[LNB]Speaking for the first time since he was signed last November, he told MUTV: 'I'm very happy and thrilled to be here at Manchester United.[LNB] Hands on: Anders Lindegaard was on the bench during United's FA Cup win over Liverpool last weekend but will make his reserves bow against Bolton[LNB]'It feels great because I've been a United supporter since I was four-years-old, so obviously it's the biggest dream of my life coming true.'[LNB]The 26-year-old, who was on the bench during last weekend's FA Cup third round win over Liverpool, admitted he had plenty of sleepless nights as he fretted over whether his dream move to Old Trafford would ever materialise following intense speculation.[LNB]He said: 'There's no smoke without fire so I was aware that there was some interest in me for a long time. [LNB]Great expectations: Lindegaard is looking forward to playing[LNB]'But Manchester United is the biggest club in the world so when they look for new players they can basically pick whoever they want from a list of hundreds.[LNB]'So in the beginning it was obviously a big thing and I couldn't sleep thinking about all the speculation. [LNB]'It was quite hectic to begin with but in the end I just learned to live with it.'[LNB]Comparisons have already been made between the keeper and his compatriot Peter Schmeichel, who is celebrated as one of the club's best ever No 1s.[LNB]But Lindegaard, who has no played a competitive fixture since last November, is expected to act as an understudy for current No 1 Edwin Van der Sar before staking a claim to replace the retiring Dutchman at the end of the season.[LNB]VIDEO: WATCH LINDEGAARD'S FIRST INTERVIEW  Manchester United eye move for Lens teenage starlet VaraneCity and United on alert as unsettled Santos star Ganso hits out at club Valencia to miss Man United's Champions League tie in Marseille All the latest Manchester United news, features and opinion [LNB]  Explore more:Places: Liverpool, Denmark
