Fresh on the back of sealing a massively lucrative kit deal with Adidas reports have surfaced that Van Gaal is looking to swoop on three of his Dutch World Cup stars. The Mirror have reported that the new Old Trafford manager wants Daley Blind as well as Bruno Martins Indi and Stefan De Vrij to join his revolution.

It is understood that Van Gaal is weighing up moves for the three Dutchman after the Netherlands finished a creditable third, beating hosts Brazil in the play-off.

Daley Blind is a 24-year-old left-back currently playing his football at Ajax who is also capable in midfield making him an incredibly useful player to have at your disposal. Blind scored in the 3-0 defeat of Brazil at the World Cup to help his side finish the tournament in third place behind Argentina and Germany.

Bruno Martins Indi is a 22-year-old defender who has played for Feyenoord since 2010. Bruno has played Centre-back and Left-back for Feyenoord and who again was impressive for the Dutch whilst on international duty.

Stefan De Vrij is also a 22-year-old defender although his availability is a little more clouded with Igli Tare, Lazio Sporting director claiming the player intends to play for Lazio in a quote from the Express:

“Many things have been said and written about De Vrij and his transfer to United but this is not true. His agent has said clearly that he has never been to Manchester to meet with the English club. De Vrij's will is to play in Lazio.”

Whatever is decided it is clear that defence is and needs to be a priority as Van Gaal sets to work on a new chapter for Manchester United.
