So, it looks like Robin van Persie is heading towards the Old Trafford exit door.
According to reports, the Holland striker – who will be 32 next month – has agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce ahead of a move to Turkey.

If it proves to be true, United fans will be sad to see him go.
So Van Persie leaving. Man gave us all for a Premier League Title. One of Fergie's best ever signing. Will miss him so much!

If it is true that van Persie is leaving I will miss him.. but at least that means we will sign a new striker.

Van Persie "I chose the number 20 because I want to help United win their 20th league title" He achieved his goal. #MUFC

It will be disgraceful if we force Van Persie out and sell him so cheaply. He single-handedly won the league for us, he's been great. #mufc

The potential move took a lot of people by surprise.
Wow. Van Persie. I'm shocked. Eh?

Devastated about Robin Van Persie. One of few players that I adore and I still think he can offer United a lot as a forward ðŸ˜ðŸ’” #MUFC #RVP

And there was some concern about United’s forward line for next season.
Van Persie gone? Falcao gone! Hernandez broken collarbone! Surely we must have a striker lined up? #MUFC

Of course, it was also an opportunity for Arsenal fans to let off some steam…

Robin Van Persie has agreed terms with Fenerbahce. Let's take a moment to laugh at the man who thought he was too big for us!

Van Persie's a story that reaffirms why "the grass ain't greener on the other side"

Van Persie traded his statue for a Premiership medal and will be remembered nowhere. Enjoy slow, second-rate Turkish football ðŸ

…and for United fans to fire back.
Van Persie will be remembered as a United legend. And also too good for Arsenal.

Robin van Persie like a boss … #mufc pic.twitter.com/vryVgzUFoe

Van Persie wasted 8 years at Arsenal, but fulfilled his ambition of winning the league within 9 months at United.

Left Arsenal. Won the league. Won Golden Boot. Got a guard of honour from Arsenal. Worked with Sir Alex So much for RvP to regret. SO MUCH!

But while United and Arsenal fans bicker over his legacy, everyone else can just remember his contribution to English football.
Robin van Persie may not be a legend at either Arsenal & Manchester United, but he is for sure a Premier League legend.
