Manchester United close to sealing move for classy defender

Manchester United are understood to be closing in on a move for the bearded Argentine defender Nicolas Otamendi with the Valencia TV Station SillasGol the latest to report as fact that the Argentinian is Old Trafford bound.

Legal and tax documents which confirm a transfer is on the cards have even been seen by journalist Nacho Cotino who works for the TV station say reports.

The 27-year-old who joined Valencia in 2014 where he has made 38 appearances and scored 6 goals in all competitions is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in La Liga after one season. The player who spent four seasons at Porto in the Primeira Liga was sold to Valencia for €12m on a five-year contract.

Valencia stand to profit massively from their €12m euro investment with €30m expected to be the figure that United pay with the player entering his peak years. The player is known for his no-nonsense style and ability in one-on-one encounters, even against the likes of Lionel Messi.
