Manchester City's Joe Hart predicts FA Cup win over Manchester United

Joe Hart insists Manchester City are not scarred by their painful run of defeats to neighbours United as the two clubs head for another momentous clash at Wembley.[LNB]Wayne Rooney's spectacular late winner at Old Trafford in February added to City's misery after they were beaten on three occasions last season by injury-time goals from Michael Owen, Rooney and Paul Scholes.[LNB]Talking up his chances: Hart is confident ahead of the Wembley affair[LNB]England goalkeeper Hart, who spent the season on loan at Birmingham, admitted that City feel they are due a lucky break against their neighbours but dismissed suggestions that those experiences will have a bearing on their FA Cup semi-final this weekend.[LNB]'Not at all,' said Hart. 'It's another game of football. There's no point being dictated to by what's gone on in previous seasons. If we go off that, there's no point us going there.[LNB]'Times have changed. It's a new season, new players and hopefully a new winning mentality for City.[LNB]'We are owed one against them but that's just not how it works unfortunately. I wish it did. But I'm sure they know we're capable of beating them and will respect that.[LNB]'We'll lock horns and it's nice that it gets settled on the day. One will walk out of there in the Final and one will walk off a loser. It's the tie everyone has wanted years for in the FA Cup.' [LNB]As City look to emerge from the shadow of their great rivals, Hart insists it is important they win to satisfy their own ambitions and not simply to silence the United fans who constantly remind them that it is now 35 years since the club last lifted a trophy.[LNB]'We're not particularly bothered by what United fans say or think,' he said. 'We're all driven towards that goal of getting a trophy. We want to end the 30-odd year drought or whatever it is, but that's not the reason for wanting to win the FA Cup.[LNB]'We want to be successful for Man City and we want this trophy to be the first of many.' [LNB] Reasons to cheer: United pair Rooney and Hernandez (right) celebrate having beaten off Chelsea in the Champions League[LNB]While United reached the semi-final of the Champions League again this week, City have been recovering from a damaging 3-0 defeat at Liverpool on Monday, and Hart warned that they are determined to take out their frustrations on Sir Alex Ferguson's side.[LNB]'It won't be difficult to lift ourselves after Monday,' he said. 'It didn't feel right getting battered.[LNB]'We need to use it. It has made me angry and wanting to finish the season well. We are hurting and we need to get out and let them feel our wrath.' [LNB]While Rooney misses the game through suspension, City are almost certain to be without their captain and top scorer Carlos Tevez after he limped off at Anfield with a hamstring injury.[LNB] Missing in action: Tevez will be missing against former employers United after picking up a strain in the defeat to Liverpool[LNB]Manager Roberto Mancini believes his side can overcome the loss of Tevez to beat United, and backed wayward striker Mario Balotelli to put his troubles behind him by emerging as the match-winner at Wembley.[LNB]'Mario knows he has to take more responsibility,' said Mancini. 'In the next six League games, and in the semi-final and final, I hope Mario can score goals.[LNB]'He could be the hero on Saturday. If he scores a goal that can take us to the final, he can change his year. He has the big-game mentality to do it.'[LNB] City boss Mancini orders Balotelli to raise game in Manchester derbyTevez out!
