According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United have increased their interest of James Rodriguez after reports of a £30million bid being rejected by Porto.

Sir Alex Ferguson watched the 20-year-old many times last season and is top of his transfer targets this summer. Sportsmail revealed last week that after the youngster agreed to a £40m buy-out clause when he signed for the club.

Porto are adamant they won't sell for less than £40m and according to reports in the country they have turned down a £30m offer from Manchester United. Since Nani has been linked elsewhere United have been linked with the Colombian constantly but Sir Alex has made it clear he will try and sign him regardless.

Porto aren't very interested in a player-exchange deal, as United are looking to offload Anderson to reduce the fee for the winger. It seems if United are to sign the talented winger they are going to have to splash the cash. He is currently considered to be one of the best youth players in the world.
