Man United poised for 15 million pound Coleman bid

Manchester United manager David Moyes is ready to make a £15 million raid on former club Everton for right-back Seamus Coleman.

The United boss is said to be a massive admirer of the right-back, and hopes to beat Arsenal in the summer for his services.

Moyes paid just £60,000 for the Irishman from League Of Ireland side Sligo Rovers in 2008 and helped him become one of the Premier League's top defenders.

The Scot is ready to make Coleman his second signing from former employers Everton, having signed Marouane Fellaini for £27.5 million last summer. The United boss has been criticised in some quarters for the signature of the big Belgian in some quarters, with Fellaini struggling to adapt to life at Old Trafford.

Moyes has been re-buffed in his efforts to prise Leighton Baines away from Goodison Park, but it won't put him off returning for Coleman.

The interest will come as a blow for Arsenal, who see him as an ideal replacement for Bacary Sagna, should he leave in the summer, with the France defender already being offered a four-year contract by Turkish side Galatasaray.
