Man United agree deal for Chilean forward Henriquez

Manchester United have agreed a £3million fee for 18-year-old Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez.

United have been tracking Henriquez for over a year now and the young striker has played in his country’s age group sides and has featured for Universidad de Chile’s first team – scoring an impressive eight times in ten games.

United are optimistic to gain a work permit for the Chilean forward and will have to go down the ‘special talent’ route as he has never played for the senior international side.

If United experience a setback in their application the club would have to send him out on loan to a team within Europe until he pushes his way through to the national side.

The 18-year-old has only played the game since 2007 as a young teen he ditched his hopes of becoming a tennis player.

Having played for Chile’s Under 15 and Under 17 sides, Angelo has already built an inspiring reputation within South America for his strength and skill on the ball.

His great form hasn't gone unseen at Old Trafford where they are hoping to unveil another surprise package similar to Javier Hernandez.
