Mamma Mia! Ferdinand makes a meal out of Champions League final

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand is planning to open an Italian restuarant after the city which hosts Wednesday's Champions League Final. The United defender, 30, and two friends want to open 'Bella Roma' - which means Beautiful Rome - in King Street near Manchester this summer. But it could be a spectacular own goal by Ferdinand if Manchester United fail to beat Barcelona in Rome. A United source told The Sun: 'If United win in Rome, the restaurant name would be a permanent reminder of a fantastic night. 'But you don't really want the word 'Roma' to feature in the name if they get beaten over there. 'You might get a lot of bookings from Man City and Liverpool supporters - and put United fans right off their food!' Ferdinand is a doubt for the game at the Stadio Olimpico with a calf injury.
