Mame Biram Diouf granted work permit and is free to make United debut

Mame Biram Diouf is poised to make his Manchester United debut next month after finally being granted a work permit.[LNB]Sir Alex Ferguson signed the striker from Molde in the summer before allowing him to return to the Norwegian club on loan.[LNB]With 16 goals in 29 matches this season for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's former club, 22-year-old Diouf offers Ferguson an option in attack.[LNB] Hot prospect: Mame Biram Diouf[LNB]Goals have been hard to come by of late for the champions,particularly with Dimitar Berbatov and Michael Owen struggling to showany consistency.[LNB]Approval: Sir Alex Ferguson[LNB]Diouf is unavailable for the FA Cup third-round tie against Leeds atOld Trafford on January 3 but Ferguson feels the Senegal-born star hasa hugely promising future.[LNB]The next opportunity for Diouf to play would be three days later, whenUnited travel to City for the first-leg of a keenly anticipated CarlingCup semi-final.
