According to the Italian press, Lazio are interested in taking Frederico Macheda back on a loan deal come January. He is wanted back at the club, many believe he should not have left and there was an outcry when Lazio let him go to United. Club president Claudio Lotito would be pleasing a lot of fans if the deal comes off. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club would like to make a move for the player with a view to getting him on a permanent basis, but they realise that United would not be interested in such a deal just yet, so a loan deal would be a good option. Macheda is contracted to United until 2014.
